JAMMU, Aug 10: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of Purchase/Rate Contract Committees (RCCs) for Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) and its Associated Hospitals Jammu/Srinagar, Government Dental Colleges (GDCs) Jammu/Srinagar, Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Jammu/Srinagar, Indian System of Medicines (ISM) J&K and New Medical Colleges.
According to the order, RCCs for GMCs Jammu/Srinagar and its Associated Hospitals will be chaired by Principal/Dean GMC Jammu/Srinagar while Director Finance, Health & Medical Education Department (H&MED) or his representative, State Drugs Controller J&K, representative from Industries & Commerce Department (Not below the rank of Joint Director of concerned Division) and Medical Superintendent (concerned hospital) will act as their members. Chief Accounts Officer (CAO) of GMCs Jammu/ Srinagar will be member secretary of the RCCs.
The RCCs of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu/GDC Srinagar, will be chaired by Principal/Dean IGGDC Jammu/GDC Srinagar whereas Director Finance H&MED or his representative, State Drugs Controller J&K, representative from I&CD (Not below the rank of Joint Director of concerned Division) and Medical Superintendent (concerned college) will act as their members. Accounts Officer (AO) of IGGDC Jammu/GDC Srinagar will be member secretary of the RCCs.
Director Health Services, Jammu/Srinagar shall act as chairman of the RCCs of the concerned directorate while Director ISM J&K will be the chairman of the RCC for ISM J&K whereas Director Finance H&MED or his representative, State Drugs Controller J&K, representative from I&CD (Not below the rank of Joint Director of concerned Division) and Deputy Director ISM Jammu/Kashmir shall be its members. AO, Directorate of ISM J&K will be member secretary.
The RCC for GMC Rajouri/Doda/Kathua and their Associated Hospitals will be chaired by senior most Principal of GMC Doda/Rajouri/Kathua, while Director Finance, H&MED or his representative, representative from I&CD (Not below the rank of Joint Director of concerned Division) and Medical Superintendent (concerned hospital) and Deputy Drugs Controller Jammu shall be its members. CAO of GMC Doda/Rajouri/ Kathua (concerned medical college) will be member secretary of the RCC.
Senior most Principal of GMC Baramulla/Anantnag will act as chairman of the RCC of GMC Baramulla/Anantnag whereas Director Finance, H&MED or his representative, representative from I&CD (Not below the rank of Joint Director of concerned Division) and Medical Superintendent (concerned hospital) and Deputy Drugs Controller Srinagar shall be its members. CAO of GMC Baramulla/ Anantnag (concerned medical college) will be member secretary of the RCC.
