JAMMU, Mar 3: The Government has constituted a seven member Committee with Administrative Secretary to Power Development Department (PDD) as its Chairman for recommending promotions of the officers in the Electric, Civil and Mechanical Wings of the Power Development Department (PDD).
The order to this effect was issued by GAD here on Monday. The other members of the Committee included Special Secretary to the Government PDD, Development Commissioner (Power ) PDD, Director Finance PDD, Representative of GAD not below the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government, Additional Secretary to the Government (HRM Section) , PDD, Representative of Department of Law , Justice and Parliamentary Affairs not below the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government.
The Committee will make recommendations for the Assistant Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Executive Engineers and Superintending Engineers level as have been placed on in charge basis from time to time up to 31-08-2019 as a one time exception without reference to their cases to the J&K Public Service Commission.
As per Government order the Committee will recommend promotions and regularization of the officers at Assistant Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer, Executive Engineer and Superintending Engineers’ level in terms of their eligibility, seniority , integrity, work and conduct/APRs, vigilance status and principles enunciated in Government Order No 743-GAD of 2007 dated 28-06-2007of J&K Gazette Service Recruitment Rules, 1978 of the Public Works (R&B) Department as amendment from time to time.
The Committee has been asked to complete its exercise within a period of two months after which the PDD will place these recommendations before Establishment Cum Selection Committee.
