JAMMU, Feb 11: The Core Group of J&K National Panthers Party (NPP), comprising all the legislators has demanded dismissal of Omar Government in view of prevailing situation.
During meeting of the Core Group of the party held here today under the chairmanship of former Minister and MLA, Harsh Dev Singh, the Group accused the State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of the ongoing uncertainty, chaos and disorder in J&K State. The Group also accused Omar Abdullah of making irresponsible, provocative and unbalanced statement on the highly sensitive issues which do not conform with the discipline of the office of a Chief Minister. “The NC feels that the Chief Minister has become security risk and can not be entrusted with the highly responsible functions of a Chief Minister. Under such circumstances, Omar Government be dismissed without any delay,” the Group members asserted.
The NPP leadership also urged the Governor to set up a high power judicial committee to probe into the wealth and property of the Ministers and ex-ministers in the State. It also demanded free and fair Assembly polls.
The party assured the Panchayat Empowerment Committee all its solidarity and support. The Group also discussed the strategy for the elections of Legislative Council. In presence of NPP chief patron Prof Bhim Singh, chairman- Harshdev Singh was authorized to talk to other opposition parties in this regard.
