JAMMU, Oct 3: The State Government today appointed senior IPS officer Atul Kumar Goel as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of North Kashmir range.
He will relieve VK Birdi of the additional charge.
Atul Goel had the distinction of serving for nearly five years in the prestigious National Investigating Agency (NIA). He has also held the posts of SSP Jammu and SSP Kathua before joining the NIA.
He had recently returned to Jammu and Kashmir from the Central deputation.
