JAMMU, May 25: Principal Govt Medical College Jammu Dr Sunanda Raina along with concerned HoDs of various departments including HoD Obst and Gyane, Pediatrics, Radiology, Microbiology, Pathology and Biochemistry along with concerned executing agencies carried out floor wise inspection of upcoming 200 bedded maternity hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu today to ensure that it was made functional as early as possible as per the requirement of experts.
Beside parking issue, experts pointed some specific department wise modifications in infrastructural requirement, which were directed by the Principal Medical College Jammu to undertake as per the requirement of the experts. The concerned Medical Superident along with all concerned HoDs have been asked to prepare detail action plan with regards to detail additional infrastructure requirement, manpower and equipements with financial implications so that they can be taken up with Finance and Planning wing of admnistrtaive department.
The Principal said that the addition of these 200 maternity beds will largely help two most important department of GMC Jammu i.e. Obst and Gyane and Pediatrics, which have at present, huge patient workload.
