GLS Public School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Jan 31: GLS Public School, Amar Colony (Jammu) today celebrated its Annual Day in its school campus.
The function also marked the completion of 15 years of the school. MA Kakroo, Managing Director of J&K State Power Development Corporation, was the chief guest while KL Bhat, Advocate, J&K High Court, was the guest of honour.
The function was presided over by Gurpreet Singh, Administrator of the School. He welcomed the guests and highlighted the achievements of the school in academics, other learning activities and co-curricular activities.
The students presented cultural activities which covered different cultures and dances of India, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The main attraction of the program was the performances by kindergarten children on western and punjabi songs.
Meritorious students were awarded by the chief guest. G L S “Hall of Fame” awards were given to those students who repeatedly gave the best performances in their respective classes over past many years. Awards of Teaching Excellence were also given to the teachers who excelled above the rest and contributed a lot to the development of the students and the institution on a whole.
