REASI, Feb 16: Magnificent 39 runs and 2 important wickets by Rajesh Gill helped JKP Jammu to thrash JKP Reasi by a big margin of 105 runs to advance in the ongoing Sadbhavana T20 Cup Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Reasi Cricket Club at Sports Stadium, here today.
Batting first, JKP Jammu scored a decent total of 169 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Amit Sharma was the top scorer with 41 runs, while Rajesh Gill contributed 39 runs to the total. Farooq chipped in with 27 runs, while extras contributed 17 runs to the total. Vikas scalped 4 wickets for JKP Reasi, while Ankush and Ved Prakash claimed one wicket each.
In reply, JKP Reasi collapsed at 64 runs, thus lost the match by 105 runs. Ved Prakash was the only batsman to reach double figure mark by scoring 18 runs. Young medium fast bowler, Akash Choudhary was the pick of the bowlers for JKP Jammu, who took 3 important wickets, while Rajesh Gill and Naresh claimed 2 wickets each. Rajesh Gill was adjudged man of the match.
