Gill urges Govt to constitute State Minority Commission

JAMMU, Dec 18:  Jammu and Kashmir Christian Association has appealed the State Government to constitute the State minority Commission and give at least two percent reservation to each minority in the State.
In a statement, the Association president Waris Gill said that under the provisions of the Constitution of India, the J&K State Government is competent to make the legislation, which has not been done so far and thus minorities in J&K are not extended the facilities provided by the Government of India.
Sikhs, Kashmiri Pandits, Christians, Budhists and Jains are the minorities in the J&K Stare.
