Gill demands re-election of CSKU

JAMMU, Mar 14: Akhil Bharatiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh has demanded dissolution of the present body of Civics Safai Karamchari Union (CSKU) and immediate its re-election for the welfare of their community.
This was disclosed by Dev Anand Gill, member National Minority Committee and State president, Akhil Bharatiya Safai Mazdoor Sang (ABSMS) in a press conference held at town hall. Supporting the plea of the community, he said after conducting the month long tour of various areas of Jammu and listening the grievances of people. He added that people of their community have lost faith and credibility of CSKU and expressed their desire to dissolve the present elected body.
During the tour people volunteers signed in favour of re-election and informed that Safai Karamcharis working in Municipality of Local Body Department have expressed anguish over self-styled way of working of the present body, Gill added.
Gill also warned that if Government moves forward with appointing only 600 casual labour at the rate of Rs 3300, 1413 workers engaged with NGOs, leaving behind 813 workers the union will launch “Kaam Chodoo Hartal”. He pleaded for dissolving the union because of its anti poor and employees approach.
The ABSMS president also appealed the administration to release the balance of sixth Pay Commission, two and a half days salary pending of employees and time bond promotions.
