KATHUA, Aug 3: Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Hatli defeated HSS Jakhbar by a margin of 5 points (12-7) in Under-19 kho-kho, while HSS Nagri got better of HSS Hatli by two straight sets in volleyball in the Zonal Level Inter-School Under-19 boys and girls tournament in the disciplines of kabaddi, kho-kho and volleyball, here.
The tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of Sunil Kumar, DYSSO Kathua.
In kabaddi Under-19 boys, HSS Kathera defeated HSS Budhi by 9 points (20-11), while HSS Jakhbar outplayed HSS Nagri by 8 pints (16-8).
Earlier, Principal Government HSS Kathua, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta inaugurated the tournament in presence of Physical Education Lecturers Vijay Kumar, Kiran Salathia and Surinder Kumar and Zonal Physical Education Officers Rajesh Kumar, Pawan Kumar and Surinder Kour.
Over 100 students drawn from 8 Higher Secondary Schools participating in the event.
