Inter-Collegiate Yoga Tournament

JAMMU, Dec 8: GGM Science College lifted the winner trophy in Men’s section while Government SPMR College of Commerce registered win in Women’s category of Inter-Collegiate Yoga Tournament organized by Cluster University of Jammu in Government College of Education (GCOE) here today.
Dr Zubar Kales, Dean School of Education, Cluster University of Jammu, was the chief guest and Prof Aekta Gupta, Principal, GCOE Jammu, was the guest of honor on the occasion. Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator, Cluster University of Jammu and Physical Director, GGM Science College, was the special guest on the occasion under whose supervision the Inter-College Yoga (Men & Women) Tournament was organized.
In Men’s section, GGM Science College lifted the winner’s trophy by securing 432 points and Government MAM College claimed 2nd position by securing 347 Points whereas in Women section, Government SPMR College of Commerce remained champion by securing 632 points while Government College of Education remained runner-up by securing 574 points and Government MAM College grabbed 3rd position by securing 544 points.
On individual basis, in Men’ section, Gokul Sharma of MAM College remained 1st by securing 154 points, Satvinder Singh of GGM Science College secured 2nd position with 151 points and Nitish Sharma of GGM Science College remained on 3rd position by securing 143 points.
In Women Section on individual basis, Himani Verma of SPMR College of Commerce remained on 1st position by securing 157 points and Anushka Koul of Government MAM College secured 2nd position with 156 points while Heena Verma of Government SPMR College of Commerce remained on 3rd position by securing 155 points.
Dr Deep Kumar, Prof Rubina Yasmeen, Prof Shapia Shameem, Dr Mansi Sharma, Prof Neeraj Verma, Prof Anju Bala, Prof Jyoti Parihar, Dr Satinder Kumari, Dr Shafkat Jahangir, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce, Dr Roopali Slathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Ramandeep Kralia, Physical Director, GCOE Jammu and Neelam Chalotra, Assistant Physical Director Government MAM College Jammu were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Mukesh Sharma and Sabita Sharma.
