JAMMU, Jan 23: The J&K Government Employees & Workers Joint Action Committee-R, has strongly criticized the State Government for not resolving the pending issues of the employees.
In a meeting of the Employees Joint Action Committee held here today under the chairmanship of B H Malik , the members discussed the burning issues of the employees and workers. They strongly flayed the State Government for not addressing the burning issues of the employees. They alleged that even the directives of the High Court with regard to the removal of pay anomalies are not been implemented by the Government.
Malik condemned the previous government for not implementing the commitment made with the employees leaders. He said that employees are feeling deceived. He urged upon the State Governor and Chief Secretary to remove pay anomalies of the clerical cadre, release 6 % DA in favour of employees and pensioners, increase Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 in favour of employees and pensioners, release budget for early disposal of all the pending cases of GP Fund withdrawal, provide dislocation allowance to all the officials who are posted out side their home districts, merger of 50 % DA into the basic pay and regularization of daily rated workers.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included – Bharat Bhushan, Meenakshi Sharma, Yashpal Sharma, K A Diwani, Parshotam Sharma, Umer Jan, Shehzadi Gill, Munish Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Sewa Ram Rathore, Ansuiya Gupta and others.
