JAMMU: Minister of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today stressed upon the employees of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) department to get exposed to latest technology to deliver their duties in an effective manner.
The Minister said this while chairing a workshop, “Handling of New Generation MPDs at Petrol Pumps,” organized by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
The aim of the workshop was to equip LMD employees with the latest techniques and technology used at new generation machines at petrol pumps.
The Minister said only a well versed person could serve people in a better way. Therefore, it is must that everyone among us, especially the LMD employees for whom the workshop is organized would benefit from it, he said. He also stressed on need to look for modern way to serve consumers in a better manner.
Appreciating the efforts of the BPCL team for conducting such programs, the Minister said such programmes are unique in nature as they help in transforming the work culture of the state departments in line with the corporate culture.
The Minister also inaugurated BPCL’s Customer Relationship Center (CRC) that it started for the LPG Consumers in the State.
Secretary FCS& CA, Shafiq Ahmad Raina and Director FCS& CA, Jammu, G. S. Chib, State Head for J&K, Punjab, BPCL, Sanjeev Kumar along with Chief Manager, BPCL S K Bhatt also attended the function.
