JAMMU, July 26: Major General, G.S Jamwal (retired), along with Ankur Sharma, Chairman IKKJUTT Jammu here today inaugurated Durgara Reading Room at Bishnah.
Speaking on the occasion General Jamwal hoped that the Reading Room will help build a constructive reading culture among the youth of the area.
Ankur Sharma said the Reading Room is an opportunity for Bishnah youth to prepare for their studies and excel in exams.
98.3 Radio Mirchi RJ Shwetima also spoke on the occasion.
Pankaj Khajuria, founder of the Reading Room informed that there are two types of reader in Bishnah-first one preparing for exams (competitive) and the second one are students (+2 and above) who don’t have a place to sit and concentrate in studies after second half of the day.
He said that such readers used to visit cyber cafés for print outs and wasted time.
“Now this Reading Room will help them to save their time,” Khajuria said adding that they will have three slots-11:00 am-2:00 pm, 2:30 pm-5:30 pm and 6:00 pm-11:00 pm.
Sushil Singh Charak of Nations Development Association, Gambir Singh Charak of Youth Wing Dogra Sadar Sabha and others were also present on the occasion.
