JAMMU, June 2: The Department of Botany, Govt Degree College, RS Pura organised an Inter-Collegiate Quiz competition in Botany here today.
The topic of the Quiz was ‘Plant Tissue Culture and Biotechnology’.
A total of 350 students from various institutions like University of Jammu, Cluster University of Jammu, besides various Degree Colleges of the Union Territory like GDC RS Pura, GDC Hiranagar, GDC Billawar and GDC Reasi participated in the event.
The students securing 60% and above marks were awarded e-certificates.
The event was organised under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Sunita Sudan, Principal, GDC RS Pura.
The competition was coordinated by Dr Lakhwinder Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, GGM Science College, Jammu.
The material for the Quiz was researched and organised by Prof Vishal Sharma and Prof Sukhwinder Kaur.
The event was held under the supervision of Prof Bindu Kumari (HoD), Department of Botany, GDC RS Pura.
