JAMMU, Oct 5: Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua and Government College for Women (GCW), Parade were among the winners in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi Tournament, being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, here.
Earlier, in men’s category, GDC Kathua defeated GDC Kalotarian by 22 points, New Age College Phinter beat GDC Poonch by 24 points, PG Department beat MAM College by 1 point and SPMR College of Commerce thrashed Trikuta Degree College by 43 points, while in women’s section, PG Department outplayed GDC Kathua by 15 points, GWC Parade drubbed GCW Udhampur by 16 points and GCW Gandhi Nagar crushed GCW Kathua by 41 points.
The matches are being held under the supervision of Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Physical Directors of various colleges, besides Sanjeev Jamwal, Nisha Sharma, Ravish Vaid, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, PD Singh and Jai Bharat.
The matches were officiated by Ankush Gupta, Harpreet Singh, Keshav Singh, Anuradha Bhagat, Anil Kumar and Ankush Sharma.
