JAMMU, Mar 14: Cultural Fiesta was organized at G D Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust at Goenkan Acres, here today.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Suman Bansal; Director of the School, Sanya Bansal; Principal Jyoti Asija and Vice Principal Dr Subrato Kundu.
At the outset the students invoked the blessing of Goddess Saraswati by performing Sarawati Vandana, followed by the song ‘Raindrops on Roses’.
After the dances, the students were eager to showcase their acting talents. They performed a skit on the theme ‘Save Trees’ which encrypted the concern for environment.
The young Goenkans showcased their talent by playing the Casio. This was followed by a dance performance on ‘Maine Kaha Phoolon Se’. The little models walked the ramp dressed up as fruits and vegetables. This was also done to inculcate healthy eating habits among the children. The programme concluded with a grand finale.
Principal Jyoti Asija lauded the teachers and the students for putting up a wonderful show.
Chief guest while speaking on the occasion applauded the efforts of the students and teachers of classes Ist and IInd.
