Ganderbal police thrashes Ladakhis, damaged their vehicles: Anayat Ali

LEH, Apr 30: Senior BJP leader and former Chairman J&K Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali has alleged that Ganderbal administration has manhandled and harassed Ladakh bound passengers at different locations.
Addressing a press conference here today Ali said such incidents were reported earlier too when Ladakh was part of J&K State and now when Ladakh has become a separate Union Territory nothing has changed in this regard.
He claimed that Ganderbal police always acted like goons thrashing passengers including women and children.
Referring to his conversation with Divisional Commissioner Ladakh, Ali said that Ladakh UT administration has no clue of the situation and is asking for a report from the complainant which.
“Ladakh UT administration should act swiftly and solve the issue of passengers as such wrong doings are not expected in such a situation when the whole country is reeling under the threat of COVID 19,” Ali maintained demanding evacuation of the stranded passengers and vehicles of UT Ladakh as Ganderbal Police is allegedly thrashing Ladakhis and damaging their vehicles.
On this occasion president BJP Kargil, Haji Abdul Hussain; Executive Councilor and general secretary BJP Kargil, Mohammad Ali Chandan; Councilor and vice president BJP Kargil, Mohsin Ali; BJP State vice president, Mohammad Ali Majaz; BJP State media secretary, Mohammad Hassan Pasha; Kacho Gulzar Hussain and other Executive Members were also present on this occasion.
