Jammu, Feb 27: Galgotias University has received National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accreditation in three courses.
The university may soon get NBA recognition in other courses. The impact of recognition will be seen on the forthcoming admissions.
The main reason is that the students give priority to admission in the NBA recognized universities and colleges.
Students are standing in the queue at other colleges but as they have not been able to comply with the NBA they will prefer to join Galgotias.
Ministry of Human Resource Development has introduced new rules from time to time, which have been made to improve the quality of education. It has also imposed the condition that the colleges,which do not possess NBA recognition will not get the benefit of various government schemes.
Galgotias University had applied for NBA accreditation in three subjects- Computer Science and Engineering Mechanical Engineering and Electronic and Communication Engineering.
Before giving the accreditation, the NBA team had examined the various facilities for the university. The team found that the university had fulfilled all the conditions and only thereafter gave them the required certifications.
The CEO of the university, Dhruv Galgotia has informed that the three courses has received NBA and other courses are soon expected to follow suit.
