GAD’s directives on SVO searches

JAMMU, Dec 20: General Administration Department today asked all the Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments and Managing Directors of all the PSUs to make available promptly the services of officers to the State Vigilance Organization during the course of laying of traps and searches.
“Vigilance Organization quite often, under emergency circumstances requires association of independent witnesses/shadow witnesses during the course of laying of traps and searches made by it”, the circular issued by the General Administration Department said.
“In this regard, the services of the officers adjacent to the Police Stations at Jammu and Srinagar are invariably requisitioned by the Vigilance Organization for the purpose. However, such actions/requisitions sometimes become cumbersome resulting in delay and compromise on secrecy thereby affecting the functioning of the Vigilance Organization”, the circular said.
In view of this, the GAD has directed all the Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments and Managing Directors of all the PSUs to direct all the officers working under their control to make available the services of the officers/officials to the Vigilance Organization immediately after receiving a request from them without any loss of time.
