JAMMU, Sept 1: G D Goenka Public School, Jammu, hosted the first Shri Dewan Chand Bansal Memorial Inter-School Swimming Competition, bringing together young swimmers from various schools.
The two-day event featured Under-17 and Under-19 competitions, with girls' events held on the first day and boys' events on the second. The participants displayed skill, discipline and sporting spirit.
Ravindra Singh, Superintendent of Police, Jammu Rural, was the chief guest. He appreciated the swimmers and encouraged them to pursue excellence while maintaining discipline and sportsmanship.
The event was conducted in the presence of Arindam Roy Choudhury, Principal, G D Goenka Public School, Jammu, and Susmita Roy Choudhury, Dean Academics. In the Under-17 category, KC Public School emerged winner, followed by Heritage School and DPS Jammu. In Under-19, Jodhamal Public School secured first position, KC Public School finished second, while Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 took third place.
