JAMMU, June 7: Govern-ment Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu organized a free medical camp and awareness programme for the general masses on the occasion of Martyrs Day of Guru Arjan Dev ji at a Gurudwara in Domana area.
In the camp, more than 445 people from nearby localities including devotees visited the camp and got them examined from a team of doctors for different ailments. Free medicines were also provided to the needy patients.
The programme was organized under the outreach programme of the hospital. Dr Taran Singh, Medical Superintendent, Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu asked the devotees to avoid junk food and unhealthy eating habits as Ayurveda stresses upon right diet. He further added that Ayurveda lays special emphasis on Ahara and believes that healthy nutrition nourishes the mind, body, and soul.
Dr Anil Sharma, Sudesh Kumar (Supervisor Pharmacist), Sukheel Parvez (Pharmacist), Rajinder Kumar, Sat Pal, Shiv Kumar Singh and others extended their services during the camp.
