Vriddhi Royals beats KAP Smashers by 8 wkts

JAMMU, Apr 19: Vriddhi Royals defeated KAP Smashers by 8 wickets, in the ongoing 3rd Police-Public Cricket Premier League, being played at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.
Batting first KAP Smashers scored 129 runs in 20 overs with Sharad scoring 35 runs, Paras 21 runs and Arman made15 runs. From the bowling side, Vishal took 3 wickets, Kawalpreet and Tarun Bisht took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Vriddhi Royals chased the target in 13.2 overs with Arya Suvansh made highest 68 runs, Tarun Bisht contributed 21 runs and Kawalpreet made 20 runs and thus won the match by 8 wickets. From the bowling side, Anmol and Sharad took 1 wicket each.
Arya Suvansh was declared as man of the match and awarded with cash prize Rs 2000, sponsored by Rivazo Homes.
Former Test Cricketer, Madan Lal Sharma lauded J&K Police for conducting mega cricket league for the under-19 boys, on his live interview during the ongoing cricket league, being organized under the banner of Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with senior cricketers of J&K and KC Sports Club.
During his live interview with the commentator RP Singh, Sharma appreciated ADGP Mukesh Singh, chairman of the league and Rajesh Gill former Ranji player, organising secretary for organizing the event by involving reputed junior cricketers of J&K and other States while maintaining the COVID-19 protocol.
He also addressed to the young cricketers of the Jammu & Kashmir and said that the hard work and commitment throughout year is the real mantra for achieving success in cricket and to become a professional cricketer or champion one has to really focus on his body and mind fitness and to remain away from excessive use of internet.
ADGP Mukesh Singh thanked former test cricketer Sharma for sparing his valuable time and sharing his experience with the budding players of J&K.
SP Rural Sanjay Sharma was the chief guest in today’s match who was introduced with the participating teams by the organising secretary of the tournament.
Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu, Pepsi, Wheelocity Skoda, BIG FM, Rivazo Homes, Horizon Sports Club, Women Club and KC Sports Club Jammu were among sponsors of the league.
Ashok Kumar, Sanju and Saleem-Ur-Rehman were the officials in today’s matches.
