Football Club Hiranagar lifts U-17 Football Trophy

KATHUA, Nov 18: The ongoing Tournament for block Hiranagar under  Khelo India organized by the District Administration Kathua under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Kathua Rohit Khajuria witnessed competitions of football for U-17 boys and girls at Sports Stadium Hiranagar, here.
A total of 108 players of block Hiranagar participated in today’s events.
The first match of U-17 boys was played between Government Higher Secondary School Sallan and Government High School Mela in which Higher Secondary School Sallan outplayed Government High School Mela by 3-0 goals.
In second match, Sai International School Hiranagar outplayed Infant Jesus Higher Secondary School Hiranagar by 3-0 goals.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Hirana-gar outplayed CMP Dayalachak by 2-1 goals in 3rd match and in 4th match, Football Club Hiranagar outplayed Royal Club Kootah by 4-0 goals.
The first semifinal was played between Sai International School Hiranagar and Government Higher Secondary School Sallan in which SIS registered win and enter in final match by 5-0 goals.
The second semifinal match was played between Football Club Hiranagar and Kendriya Vidyalaya Hiranagar in which Football Club Hiranagar defeated KV Hiranagar by 3-0 goals and entered in final match.
In summit clash, Football Club Hiranagar trounced SIS Hiranagar by 5-0 goals. Sunil Sandhu netted 2 goals, while Dharuv Kumar, Nistish Jasrotia and Hardesh scored 1 goal each.
