Five skaters of J&K represent India, young Hiteshwar shines

JAMMU, Aug 4: Five ace skaters of Jammu and Kashmir namely Arjun, Tarun Gandotra, Dhruv Pant, Abhinav Gupta and young Hiteshwar Singh represented Indian team in the World Inline Hockey Championship held recently at Asiago/Roana in Italy.
Gandotra is International player, State Awardee and Sher-e-Kashmir Awardee, Tarun is also an International player, Dhruv Pant (National player), Abhinav Gupta (International player) and Hiteshwar Singh (National player) has represented the country for the first time and emerged highest scorer for India.
These skaters were selected by the Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) afer conducting selection trials at Noida and coaching camp at Jodhpur and Noida respectively.
The President of Jammu and Kashmir roller Skating Association, GS Khurmi along with other members accorded a warm welcome to these skaters after their return from Italy and lauded them for their efforts to get the National selectors nod. He also encouraged the players and motivated them for the upcoming Championships.
