JAMMU, July 3: Top seed Medansh Goyal, Aarav Arora, Vaibhav Dwedi and Tejasvpreet Singh are jointly leading the standings after four rounds of the ongoing International FIDE Rating Chess Tournament at LA-VEERAZ Chess Hall, Khara Madana, Bari Brahmana. Playing on the top board, Medansh Goyal produced a flawless performance to register another full-point victory.
The tournament has drawn 157 players from six states and is being organised by the Jammu District Chess Association under the aegis of the All J&K Chess Association and the All India Chess Federation (AICF). A total of eight rounds will be played under the FIDE Laws of Chess, with participants getting an opportunity to earn or improve their FIDE ratings based on their performances.
FIDE Arbiter Bindu Pathania is the Chief Arbiter, assisted by Deputy Arbiters Arvindu, Nirmal Sharma, Ritish, Mansha Mahajan, and Stuti Gupta. The event is being supervised by All J&K Chess Association President Meenal Gupta.
