JAMMU, Aug 22: Father of a Law student in Jammu University, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel at Katra on August 13, last year, has demanded Crime Branch investigation into death of his son.
Talking to media persons, here today, Rattan Lal Malhotra demanded investigation by Crime Branch Jammu into the mysterious death of his son Aman Malhotra, 5th semester student of Law Department in JU, who was accompanied by his classmate and friend Gourav in the same hotel room.
“After I came to know about the incident, we shifted Aman to a hospital in Katra where doctors declared him as brought dead. The cause of the death in the post mortem report was mentioned as cardiac arrest,” he recalled.
However, the father smelt a foul play in the whole episode as post mortem report was handed over to the family after eight months of incident. “My son had invited his friends to Katra where they all stayed at the guest house owned by the family and what happened there in the room, is still a mystery to be resolved,” Rattan Lal Malhotra said and reiterated his demand for fresh investigation in the case so that the accused could be arrested at an earliest and justice may be delivered.
