JAMMU, May 12: A man shot at and seriously injured his son in his house at Tope Sherkhanian under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar police station tonight. Police have arrested the accused and seized his weapon.
Omkar Singh fired at his 40 year old drunk son Lakhwinder Singh alias Lucky with 12 bore gun in his house at Tope Sherkhanian at 11.25 pm when Omkar was allegedly beating up his children in inebriated condition.
Lakhwinder Singh received a gun shot at his back and was admitted in the Government Medical College hospital late tonight.
Police parties led by Incharge Sarwal Police Post Ravi Parihar reached the spot and arrested the accused Omkar Singh. His weapon along with cartridges has been seized.
Lakhwinder Singh was being operated upon in the hospital.
