BJP launches scathing attack on NC

JAMMU, Dec 22: BJP State spokesman and senior leader Advocate Sunil Sethi while launching a scathing attack on National Conference (NC) today said “to save the sinking political boat of NC it has brought to the fore the old Oar ( Chappu) hoping to take it through rough waters . But the position in which the grand old party of the State find itself politically is too bad to be salvaged by anyone, even with old rhetoric of arousing compassions by raising regional boggies and religious discord.
Sunil Sethi in a statement issued here, today said that Dr. Farooq is old wine in new bottle and has nothing fresh to offer politically to the masses and is resorting to meaningless statements to garner publicity and to keep party in circulations but such irrational gimmicky, which had been his hallmark throughout political innings , is laughable stock for the political watchers
Sunil Sethi further noted that National Conference is increasingly showing dependence on tactical support by separatists, same way People’s Democractic Party (PDP) strived in the past, but his past track for changing sides and friends at the drop of the hat is big impediment as also increasing political marginalization of Hurriyat Conference and such like players because of emergence of new political forces in Kashmir.
He said that damage which has been caused to National Conference in public perception during misrule of Omar Abdullah is hard to be filled. Because of inability to run responsible Government by Omar Abdullah the party had been reduced to its worst performance and it has hardly learnt any lesson. Omar had proved himself no better than Pappu of the State and the combination of Pappu and Chappu is not expected to bring any change to the dwindling fortunes of National Conference.
