RAJOURI, Aug 11: The Block Medical Officer, Darhal Malkan in Rajouri district has sought explanation from five doctors after allegations that an elderly CKD patient did not receive timely treatment at SDH Darhal due to absence of duty staff.
In an order dated August 10, the BMO said Dr Rishab Sudan, Dr Mudassar Kabir and Sh Mohd Younis, who were on night duty, left the hospital before the arrival of the reliever.
Dr Samina Malik was also directed to explain why she left the station without permission despite being asked to remain on call, while Dr Mutahir Wani was asked to explain his late reporting for morning duty.
The BMO said Dr Imran Ganai was called to attend the patient after attendants complained of non-availability of doctors.
All the five doctors have been asked to submit replies within two days, failing which disciplinary action under J&K Civil Services Rules will be initiated.
