JAMMU, May 9: Excise Department has clarified that ‘Saki Wine Shop’ in district Samba has not been sealed.
In a handout issued by Excise and Taxation Department Excise Range Samba, today it said a drive was launched to verify the stock position of wine shops falling in Samba range jurisdiction on the directives of Commissioner and Deputy Excise Commissioner Executive Jammu.
As part of that drive, verification of ‘Saki Wine Shop’ was conducted by Renu Sharma, Inspector, Rishav Seth Sub Inspector and Aneesh Mahajan Sub Inspector.
All the records of stock were verified and requisite information were collected. The shop was closed till further scrutiny of record by higher authorities.
The shop will be opened only after release order from higher authority, the handout reads further.
