JAMMU, July 10: Ex-Central Para Military Forces Welfare Association held a protest under the chairmanship of its President RL Dogra.
A large number of members of the association from district, tehsil and block levels were present in the protest to highlight their demands.
While speaking, RL Dogra said that Central Government has taken no decision to resolve the demands projected by Ex-Central Para Military Forces.
He demanded that there should be para military service pay equivalent to military service pay and pension structure of the CPMF may be reviewed and there should no special consideration while determinating pension of CPMF.
Personnel recruited from 2004 to onwards may be granted pension and enhancement in the medical allowance to Rs 2000 per month, he also demanded.
Among others present were Dr YP Sharma, Som Nath Sharma, Vice President, Thoru Ram and Mohammad Majid, General Secretaries, Surjeet Singh, Advisor, DD Sharma, Cashier, Mohan Lal Sharma, Bodh Raj and Prem Lal.
