JAMMU, May 17: Ever Shine Cricket Club defeated Jai Chand Cricket Club by 4 wickets today in the ongoing Ravi Kant Gupta Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Parade Ground here.
Jai Chand Cricket Club elected to bat first after winning toss and scored 140 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs, wherein Manjeet Singh was the top scorer who made 42 runs with the help of six boundaries. Arun scored unbeaten 37 runs and Vishal Kumar, Asif and Rajesh contributed 16, 11 and 6 runs, respectively.
From the bowling side, Ravinder Singh took 3 wickets while Khuswant Singh and Narinder Singh shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Ever Shine Club chased the set target by losing only 6 wickets in 19.2 overs. Narinder Singh was the top scorer who scored 37 runs, while Hardeep Singh made 27 runs and Lakhwinder Singh, Chamrore Singh and Jaswinder Singh contributed 26, 11 and 10 runs, respectively.
From the bowling side, Arun wasthe successful bowler who took 3 wickets, while Aman, Anil and Rajesh clinched 1 wicket each.
Narinder Singh was declared as man of the match.
