JAMMU, Dec 8: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with Unison Cultural Troupe and BLSKS staged Vijay Malla’s new play “Shhar Ki Hull Chhul” in nukkad form at Government Primary School, Madeen, tehsil Dhansal during its Monday theatre series.
The play was based on the current activities of public in the town, their social economic thinking and their awareness regarding anti social activities in the town.
Writer-Director has described the story of a young man who has visited his home town after 10 years, as he was working in some company outside the State. This young man feels stranger to see the scenario of his birth place where he was brought up with traditions and culture. Even he was astonished to notice that young generation is not speaking their mother tongue and are not wearing their traditional dresses.
Even after the gap of 10 years away from his home, he was well versed with his culture, traditions, languages and mannerism and decided to stay back and start a “reform revolution” of teaching young generation about the history of his culture. His elders discourage him in the first phase saying that it is very difficult job to deal with young generation in present scenario of electric media and cyber world, as young generation is going modern to ultra modern-era and how they can reverse their attitude. But finally observing his passion and commitment, all of them join hands with his mission saying that all we must we should we will preserve our culture-history-mother tongue and traditions at any cost and the mission starts in end of the play.
