JAMMU, Feb 28: Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab organized “English Poem Recitation Competition”, in which around 150 students participated enthusiastically.
During the competition, little toddlers recited poems with action. Poems reflected the concerns of children for animals and environment.
The core context of the poems comprised of conventional nursery rhymes with ideas on healthy living.
In pre-kg class category, Raksha Goja stood first, while Yashita and Ishita Reshi claimed second and third positions respectively.
In junior-kg class category, Gunjan, Himanshu and Sidharth secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In senior-kg class category, Kanhaiya, Keshvi Wali and Rishika Bhat claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
Puja Sharma, Principal of the school in her speech said that the contest helps students grow up as public speakers. They learn to present a message clearly, confidently and enthusiastically, she added.
Later, Puja Sharma along with other faculty members distributed prizes among the winners.
