JAMMU, Mar 7: A deputation of J&K State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (K), led by Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and S Balwinder Singh, called on the Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment, Haseeb A Drabu and submitted him a memorandum of demands.
In the memorandum, the GEJAC demanded release of 17 percent DA, removal of pay anomalies, additional budgetary support to all PSUs, regularization of daily rated and contractual workers, enhancement in Medical Allowance, implementation of Mediclaim Policy in favour of Non-Gazetted employees, enhancement of wages of Anganwari Workers and release of pending GP Fund.
Mr Drabu assured the employees that all their demands would be considered positively. He also sought cooperation of the employees to make the State corruption free and deliver good governance.
The deputation comprised of Ravi Singh Bhau, Dharminder Singh Bhargav, Reyaz Sofi, Ravinder Singh, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Zulkar Nain, Qayom Beg, Sukhbir Singh, Rohit George, Ravi Kumar and others.
