Employability Skill Enhancement Programme concludes at Commerce College

JAMMU, Feb 22: The 12-day training programme on “Employability Skill Enhancement” concluded today in Government SPMR College of Commerce.
The programme was organized under the “Employment and Skill Enhancement Scheme” of J&K Higher Education Department, an initiative of Talat Pravez Rohella, Commissioner Secretary, Higher Education Department, and it had commenced on February 10.
The purpose of this training programme was to create job opportunities for the students of J&K. The Commissioner Secretary insisted that targeting the youth with such training will result in productive job creation for them in the market. The programme was attended by the teachers and students of the college.
Addressing the gathering, Principal of the college, Prof Ranjeet Singh Jamwal said that now-a-days when there is tough competition for jobs, skill development is very significant and the employability opportunities will increase manifold when we train the students.
The resource person, Mujahid Landge from Universal Education, Bangalore imparted training to the students perfectly in various skills. He prepared the students to face challenges confidently in their future lives.
On the occasion, the mementoes were presented to the chief guest, Prof R S Jamwal, the State Coordinator, Prof Sanjeev Gupta and the resource person Mujahid Landge. The certificates were also distributed to 90 students for participating in the programme.
The nodal officers of the program were Prof Parveen Singh and Dr Sakshi Sharma along with Prof Savita Jamwal, and Prof Bharti Slathia. Akanksha Khajuria and Bramhleen Singh presented the student feedback report. Dr Sakshi Sharma presented vote of thanks.
