Electricity employees concern over delay in regularization

JAMMU, Feb 12: The State Electricity Employees Union (Jammu province) in its meeting here today discussed various demands of employees of Power Development Department.
As per a release, the meeting was chaired by M K Tickoo, chief advisor of the Union and it was attended by all Executive Committee members who among others included Qazi Ghulam Mohammed chairman of the Union, its provincial president Krishen Singh Jamwal and Kulbir Singh, senior Executive member.
The meeting expressed concern over non payment of wages, delay in regularization and promotion of PDLs, TDLs, CLs and need based workers of the Department and alleged that workers who have been deprived of their hard earned wages are at the verge of starvation.
The meeting, while seeking intervention of Governor N N Vohra in the matter expressed the hope that he will take an immediate decision on the regularization of daily wagers and settlement of other issues of power employees.
The meting, while discussing the constitution of DPCs at district level expressed the hope that the district level posts will be filled up immediately now. While opposing the unbundling of PDD the meeting warned to fight out it tooth and nail.
Mr Jamwal in his address expressed the hope that the assurance given by the Principal Secretary, Power Sandeep Naik to the Union leadership in this regard will be kept.
