UDHAMPUR, Apr 10: An elderly man was knocked to death by a car while crossing the road near Battal Ballian National Highway Udhampur, here today.
The deceased, identified as Sham Lal (68), son of Faqir Chand, resident of Battal Ballian Udhampur, was hit by an Alto Car bearing registration number JK04C-7724, which was on its way from Kashmir to Jammu.
Police took the injured person to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead. Police have registered a case in this connection and arrested the car driver.
