JAMMU, June 7: An elderly man was killed today in a road mishap in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, Masood Ahmed (74) son of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Sidhra, was on its way from Sidhra to Jammu on its scooter when an unknown vehicle hit his two-wheeler near Muni Baba Temple in Panjtirthi area.
Though he received minor injuries in the mishap but shockingly he expired during treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was shifted for treatment immediately after the mishap.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed- over to his legal heirs for last rites. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
