SRINAGAR, July 3: The Employees Joint Action Committee—EJAC (R) today discussed issues pertaining to employees and the future course of action that it will adopt to solve the same.
In this regard, a meeting of EJAC (R) was held at Directorate of Sheep Husbandry Department, Kashmir under the chairmanships of Babu Hussain Malik, State President EJAC (R) along with Gulzar Ahmad Rather, Showkat Ahmad Nowshehri and others.
The issues that were discussed were the regularization of all daily rated workers includes casual labourers, seasonal labourers, need-based workers, land donors, anganwadi workers and others. The meeting was attended by the representatives from 40 departments.
Continuation of contractual teachers who are on strike for last 60 days; pay anomalies of clerical grade and other grades in various departments, notional effect to clerical pay anomaly with effect from 01-01-1996, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 5000 per month were other issues highlighted in the meeting.
“5 days extra pay in favour of employees of Sheep Husbandry Department in lieu of 24 hours duty and abolishing of SRO-202, 10% SDA for the employees working in Ladakh region,” are also the demands, the statement issued here said.
It also discussed the restoration of two additional increments on Clerical Secretariat Assistant examination course which it said has been wrongly stopped by SRO-333 dated 02-08-2018.
“Regularization of all Gazetted/ Non-Gazetted Employees of Education Department including teachers, headmasters, RETs and others; release of their salaries on time and Release of funds of all those departments which were stopped by the previous govt,” it said.
