SRINAGAR, Oct 25: Advisor to Governor, KK Sharma today said that efforts are afoot for ensuring preservation and upliftment of the unique Kashmiri culture so that it regains its pristine glory.
The Advisor was interacting with a deputation of JK Cultural Council which called on him and discussed several issues related to preservation, propagation and upliftment of culture and related activities.
The deputation comprised eminent intellectuals GR Hasrat Gadda, Nisar Naseem, Gulzar Ganai, Nasreen Muhi, Showkat Shehri, Gulshan Badrani, MM Mehboob and Shahjahan Dar.
While discussing several measures related to upliftment of culture, the Advisor assured the deputation that the measures needed for the same have been put in place and work is under progress.
He said that “it is our endeavor to ensure the proper propagation of unique Kashmiri culture which is known for its global message of promoting peace, communal harmony and brotherhood which is mainstay of resolving various vexed solutions globally.”
The Advisor assured the deputation quick redressal on the issues projected by them which included construction of art gallery in Srinagar, facility of opening coffee home-type joints, setting-up of various reference libraries, facilities of open-air theaters for creative artists, setting-up of print-making studios in Kashmir, halls for creative activities etc.
