The education system in villages of Leh is in a bad state. Government schools in villages have more teachers than the students. Reason behind this sorry state is distrust between the parents and Government school teachers. Along with quality education, private schools provide facilities for extracurricular activities to their students whereas Government schools are unable to provide basic education to its students. Parents who can afford the fees send their children to private academies. But this leads to difference between the students on basis of education. Government should monitor schools located in remote areas and funds spent on them in a stricter manner.
