DYSS refresher course for PE teachers concludes

JAMMU, July 5: A five-day refresher course for Physical Education teachers in the discipline of Wushu concluded at the Youth Hostel, Nagrota. The programme was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), J&K, to update field staff on advanced techniques, skills and the latest rules of the sport.

The course was conducted under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. The training aimed to equip Physical Education teachers with modern coaching methods so they can effectively impart these skills to students in their respective institutions.

The course was coordinated by Course In-charge Harvinder Kour, ZPEO Jammu, while Hostel In-charge Altaf Ahmed ensured all necessary arrangements for the participants.

Around 40 Physical Education teachers attended the programme. Resource persons Ajay Pal Gill and Nitin Sharma conducted practical and technical sessions throughout the course.

The department provided boarding, lodging, meals and refreshments to all participants. At the conclusion of the programme, the trainees were awarded certificates of participation in recognition of their successful completion of the refresher course.
