JAMMU, Nov 30: Launching a blistering attack on the Abdullah and Mufti families, Union Minister of State for Finance and Cooperative Movement and incharge elections J&K, Anurag Thakur today said, the two families sacrificed democracy and democratic values in J&K, allowed terror to flourish and unleashed an era of darkness, leaving the youth of J&K with no future prospects.
The Union Minister was addressing election rally at Mishriwala. Jammu and Kashmir BJP president, Ravinder Raina, MP (Lok Sabha), Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Minister, Bali Bhagat, DDC candidate, Narayan Singh, Omi Khajuria, Rajinder Singh Chib, Ajay Pargal and other BJP leaders were also present in the rally.
Thakur said, “the Abdullah and Mufti families entertained separatists while alienating the youth. They are worried about the wellbeing of terrorists while the youth languished without career opportunities and avenues for jobs. These families built their own fortunes on the blood and sweat of J&K, ” he added.
Thakur said “the Abdullah and Mufti families misled the youth, stifled their voices, sidelined their political aspirations, gave them stones and guns instead of helping them secure their future. These families built their mansions but left the people in to live in misery.”
Thakur questioned the Abdullah and Mufti families and said, “while they have lived a life of luxury for decades, it is the youth and people of J&K that suffered and remained suffocated by the atmosphere of terror.”
Thakur added, “the DDC elections will show that democracy is vibrant and the youth will play a decisive role in BJP’s victory. The youth and people of J&K will determine their own fate and future. PM Narendra Modi treats the citizens of India as his own family and will leave no stone unturned to provide a bright future as well as meet the aspirations of the talented youth of J&K.”
Ravinder Raina said that only BJP has done justice to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He strongly appealed to the public to vote for the candidates of the BJP. He said that the previous Governments only worked to loot the people while the BJP worked for the good of all. He said that till date the removal of Article 370 was especially beneficial for all the society living on the margins. He said that the communities like Gujjar Bakkerwal, women, Valmiki etc. got all the rights for the first time and especially the Refugees celebrated the first time vote in these elections.
Jugal Kishore Sharma highlighted the development works in Jammu and Kashmir among the public and said that the BJP’s victory is very important to speed up development in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that it is only due to the efforts of the BJP that AIIMS, IIT, IIM, all types of facilities ranging from higher education institutions and even many more are ready to come to Jammu and Kashmir.
