JAMMU, Mar 31: Coming down heavily on National Conference (NC) chief, Farooq Abdullah for doubting the martyrdom of soldiers in Pulwama and questioning country’s resolve against terrorism, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi today said such statements speak of frustration on the part of regional parties who want to be elected to Parliament at any cost.
While speaking at Sanaskrit Cell programme whose convenor & co-conenor are Bharat Bhushan & Pt. Viney respectively, Yudhvir said sacrifices of soldiers won’t go waste and those doubting their martyrdom can never be true representatives of their people, region or country.
Asking people of Jammu and Kashmir to dump “dynast” like Abdullah’s and Muftis, Yudhvir Sethi said that they have had enough of playfield wherein they pushed young boys towards militancy, made their mansions, settled their children abroad and gave a free hand to their party leaders to loot public money.
Something similar was done by Congress and when it came to elections be it of ULB or Parliament these parties manoeuvred to help each other only to get themselves into important positions, Yudhvir said.
There’s nothing that these leaders have done for the people of Jammu and Kashmir except symbolic works to show that they are working towards developing State. Had these leaders been sincere millions of rupees forwarded by successive union governments would have transformed lives of people on a big way, he added.
Yudhvir said time has come to say goodbye to these divisive forces who are out there to promote their sons and daughters and do nothing for common masses. “Look at history of NC and it’s leaders, they made money, distributed licenses amongst themselves, created empires and businesses for their wards and left poke to fend for themselves.
Asking people to realize power of ballot, State Incharge BJPs All Cells Varinderjit Singh said these elections and coming Assembly polls should be a turning point in the history of Jammu and Kashmir wherein dynastic parties are thrown out and way paved for credible people who want to serve State or nation and not mint money or establish their wards and families.
