Drug-peddler held with heroin, sharp weapon in RS Pura

JAMMU, July 7: An alleged drug peddler was arrested with 6.07 grams of heroin-like substance and a sharp weapon from Agra Chak area under the jurisdiction of Police Station RS Pura area here, officials said.

The accused, identified as Arun Kumar alias Zeher of Chohalla Kothey, RS Pura was arrested with the consignment and the weapon (toka) on July 6 by a team of Border Police Post Agra Chak during routine checking at Agra Chak area, they said.

He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 134/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act and 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station RS Pura, with further investigation set into the motion, the officials said.
