Drug peddler arrested with ganja

JAMMU, Apr 19: Narwal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered ganja from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Narwal Police Post laid a naka at Yard Number 4 Transport Nagar and intercepted an Esteem car.
During checking, police recovered 6 kilograms of ganja from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Babbu, son of Tara Chand, a resident of Channi.
A case under FIR Number 107/18 under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal Police Post SI Varuneshwar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Parvez Sajjad, SDPO East Arun Jamwal, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
