JAMMU, Nov 29: Bhatindi police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bhatindi Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 1 gram heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Majid, son of Jamal Din, a resident of district Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 305/19 under Section 8/21/27 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
