SRINAGAR, Feb 24: Police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered charas from his possession in Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said on a tip off, established a Naka at Akoora crossing, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Mattan. During the Naka checking a person Shabir Ahmad Shah son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Devsar Kulgam was intercepted. On his search police recovered about 250 gms of charas from his possession.
A case FIR number 20/2014 under Section 18/20 NDPS Act was registered in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
